Teach Me Tuesday:
Keeping Kids Entertained (and Fed!) During the Holiday Season
It’s the morning of the holiday party. A parent walks in with two dozen frosted cupcakes, the kids are already bouncing off the walls, and lunch still has to go out on time. Whether you run a family childcare home or a center, or support providers as a sponsor, this Teach Me Tuesday session walks through the holiday season with your food program in mind. We’ll cover where treats, juice and milk fit on party days (including the milk options that took effect June 8, 2026), how to keep counts and records accurate when closures and field trips shuffle the calendar, creditable holiday menu ideas from across the season, and simple activities and kitchen jobs that use what you already have. You’ll leave with a three-step game plan for your next party day and ideas you can put on next week’s menu.
